today marks a historic day in iowa. on march 1st, 2023 a statewide walkout occured to protest anti LGBT legislation currently trying to be passed in iowa. Iowa WTF (A coalition of young people fighting discriminatory legislation through advocacy, activism, and civic engagement) partnered up with the Iowa QSA to mobilize over 15 iowa school districts as well as 1 university to protest these queerphobic bills. i’m beyond honored to be a member of Iowa WTF and bring activism to fort dodge. I have been here for only 6 months, so this certainly wont be my last course of action
